California Bill of Sale Form

California Bill of Sale is an official legal paper that a business entity, a group of residents or entities, or an individual may need to legalize a deal aimed at purchasing or selling an item of property. In California, one needs the document if the amount of money paid for the item is over $500.00. Both parties included in the form will be able to prove the operation of sale or purchase if they need to register a car, a boat, or even a firearm.

Most often, the making of the document is initiated by the buyer to minimize the possibility of fraud on the part of the seller. Otherwise, the Bill of Sale is often used to keep all the documents just in case, for the ends of record storage. If one wants to have the document completed, one should check with the currently imposed regulations and laws in force in the state to ensure the correct completion of the bill. Be it an individual buyer and seller, or an enterprise or several of them, the completion of the Bill of Sale is a must when a valuable item’s transfer is concerned. There are three types of the Bill of Sale in California: Firearm Bill of Sale, General Bill of Sale, Motor Vehicle Bill of Sale, and Boat Bill of Sale.
