Missouri Bill of Sale Form

The Missouri Bill of Sale is a legal paper that is of great importance for the parties completing it, as it serves as proof of the legitimacy of the deal involving the sale or purchase of some property item occurring between the parties. The documents vary by state and their contents; however, the main idea is still the same: the Bill of Sale legitimates the deal and ensures the rights of both seller and buyer before the laws of Missouri. Such items as motor vehicles, vessels, and boats, firearms, or even a furniture piece can require the completion of the Bill of Sale. The Bill of Sale is developed to provide the lawful transfer of the item from a seller to a buyer, as well as the ownership shift occurring in such cases.

In Missouri, one may need to have the Bill of Sale of a certain kind completed to support other documents and enable different registrations, of a motor car, for instance. There are four types of the Bill of Sale one can consider completing in Missouri: the Firearm Bill of Sale, the Boat Bill of Sale, the General Bill of Sale, and the Vehicle Bill of Sale. Different forms of the document might contain different information: license numbers and photos, data on both parties and the item itself, and a signature of the notary public.
